Stephen Hutchings was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1948, and moved to Southern Ontario in the late 1950's. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of Toronto and attended the Ontario College of Art in the early 1970's. Hutchings has exhibited at numerous galleries across Canada, and his work can be found in various public and corporate collections. He has lived and worked in Banff, Alberta since 1979, where he is President and Publisher of Altitude Publishing Ltd.
